United States → European Union stablecoin corridor evidence | CBSR

Read the directed United States → European Union corridor, destination gate, class I, source basis and review limitations from the historical CBSR snapshot.

Why direction matters here

The US→EU example is class I with a MiCA authorisation and scale mechanism. Its committed class basis uses the corrected conjunctive Article 23 thresholds: both one million daily transactions and EUR 200 million, measured as specified in the source. This differs from the uncorrected 'or' wording retained in one historical record summary.

Destination gate: exact snapshot wording

MiCA EMT authorization wall + Article 58(3) means-of-exchange cap

A non-EUR token faces enhanced reporting and, once significant and used as a means of exchange, the Article 58(3) ceiling (one million transactions/day and EUR 200m/day — both thresholds, per MiCA Art. 23(1) applied mutatis mutandis; EBA operative methodology pending). A EUR sister EMT via a MiCA-authorized issuer avoids the cap.

Class basis and source dependency

MiCA authorization wall (Titles III/IV) with the Art. 58(3) means-of-exchange ceiling extending Arts. 22/23/24(3) mutatis mutandis to EMTs denominated in a non-Member-State currency. Art. 23(1) is CONJUNCTIVE: 1,000,000 transactions/day AND EUR 200,000,000/day (quarterly average).

Directed edge versus undirected pair

The source explicitly distinguishes pairwise interaction sets from this directed edge. Direction-specific interaction sets are A, C, D

Directed-edge operative interaction sets (Corridor Atlas v0.2.5 §5, read at the destination inbound gate for THIS direction) differ from the undirected pairwise sets (Architecture §5.14). The Atlas generalizes the §5.12/§5.14 undirected pairs into directed edges and re-derives the operative interaction sets per direction; the compatibility CATEGORY agrees, the interaction-set list may differ by direction. This divergence is declared, not silent.

Sources and limits

An authored narrative or infrastructure pilot does not certify operational access. The class is a dated research output, not a licence, execution approval or guarantee of settlement availability. Source-review gaps remain visible in the linked jurisdiction records.
